　役作りで気をつけていることは？
　三部作を通して意識の変化は？感動的な言葉を期待してこちらがぶつける質問に対し、ニノはするりと脇を抜けるように、こう繰り返す。
   "Nothing special."
   Is there anything you're taking special notice of in creating your character?
   Have you felt any changes with the third part of this series? We were hoping for some heartfelt words in response, but instead we only got this, passing it off as nothing.

　もちろん、「思い」を伝えるために、今回も全身全霊を傾けて役づくりに挑んでいる。脳性まひで右半身不随という設定のため、右足をひきずるようにして歩くシーンが多く、収録１日目で早くも膝は悲鳴をあげた。喉から声を絞り出すような話し方をするため、喉もかなりやられてしまったという。「特別な気持ち」を抱かずとも、芝居に真撃に取り込む姿勢こそニノらしさなのだろう。
　スペシャルドラマ「Door To Door」（TBS系）は実話を元にした感動ドラマ三部作の最終章で、いずれも二宮和也が主演を務める。一作目の「少しは、恩返しができたかな」（０６）ではユーイング肉腫を発症しながら第一希望の東大に合格し、東大に一日だけ通って亡くなった少年役を、二作目の「マラソン」（０７）では自閉症の少年役を演じた。一作目のテーマは「親との二人三脚」、二作目は「親離れ」、三作目は「親からの自立」と物語は“進化”し、二宮の演技もまた成長する。前二作で複数の賞を受賞するなど高い評価を得た。
　二宮の今回の役は、脳性まひによる障害を抱えながら訪問販売員として奮闘する少年、英雄。モデルとなったのは、アメリカで脳性まひの障害を持ちながら、訪問販売でトップセールスマンになった男性。相手に「二度と来るな」と断られても、さらにいい提案の仕方を考え、前向きに仕事に取り込む姿に、やがて相手も心の扉を開く。
   He's focusing on the challenge of creating this character with all his might, of course with the single desire of getting his 'feelings' across. Because of his cerebral palsy, and the fact that the right half of his body is paralyzed, there are many scenes where he drags his right foot; his knees were already screaming in pain after the first day. It seems his throat also suffered, because of the effort of having to squeeze his words out in such a way. Taking on the performance of a true story with such a 'nothing special' attitude, is just like something Nino would do.
   The special drama to be on TBS, Door To Door, is a moving drama based on a true story, and the third and final installment in a series, all with Ninomiya Kazunari playing the main lead role. The first installment, 'Sukoshi wa Ongaeshi ga Dekita kana' (2006), was about a boy who comes down with Ewing's sarcoma, but still chases his dreams, and passes the Tokyo University enterance exams, if only for one day of classes, and in the second in the series, 'Marathon' (2007), he plays a boy with autism. The idea behind the first one was "cooperation with your parents", and the second was "letting go of your parents", so the third one progresses into "supporting yourself without your parents", we expect Ninomiya's acting skill will also increase alongside. He's won numerous awards for the previous two works, as well as high acclaim overall.
   This time he will be playing a youth with cerebal palsy who struggles through as a door-to-door salesman, an inspiration. The story is based on a man from America who earned the highest profits through door-to-door sales, all while struggling with his cerebal palsy. Even if people told him to 'never show your face here again', he'd think of even better ways to approach them, tackling all his problems with such a positive attitude, it wasn't long before others opened their hearts to him as well.

　映像作品で「障害」をテーマに据えるとき、必要以上に重く考え、意識してしまうこともあるが、二宮の頭の中には「障害」という概念は存在しない。もちろん美化しようという気持ちもない。
　「たとえば障害を抱えている子と普通の子が一緒に授業を受けて、同じ時間を過ごしたとしても、学べる程度は違うのかもしれないけど、たぶん子どもたちはそんなこと（問題だと）考えないんじゃないかと思う。それは親や学校が考えることだからね。よくその子の仕草の真似をしたりする子がいたりもするけど、それって純粋な好奇心というか、悪気なんてないんだよね」
　だから英雄も、そういう段階を経験していると想像し、世間にある程度もまれているキャラクター設定にした。一方で、基本的には超前向き人間の英雄も、ときには「どうせ、僕は独りじゃ何もできない」とつぶやくセリフもある。「障害のあるなしに関係なく普通に仕事するのは大変ですからね」。二宮の言葉は、ひたすら真をつく。
　三部作を通して最も伝えたいのは、「親子の絆」なのだという。「親子の関係性は自分がうまれてきた以上絶対的に持っているもの。そんな誰もが持っている「家族」について考えるきっかけになってほしい。父の日、母の日、こどもの日があっても「家族の日」はないんだよね。この作品を見た人たちに、そういう時間がちょっとでもできれば合格かな、と」。
　ニノの「思い」が詰まった感動ドラマの最終章、見逃せない!!
   When it comes to recreating a story about a 'handicapped person', there are of course times where you'll find yourself thinking more than necessary into details, but for Nino, the general term 'handicapped' doesnt exist for him. So of course he wouldn't try to dress up the role at all either.
   "Say for example a handicapped child and a normal child are both in the same class, even if they both spend the same amount of time there, they'll probably take different things out of it, but I don't think children think of things like that (as being a problem). That's for parents and teachers to think about. There are often children who'll imitate their behavior as well, but it's just curiosity, there's no malice in it."
   So, even a hero, when you imagine experiencing such a phase in life, becomes this kind of character, worried over by society at least to a certain extent. But on the other hand, even for extremely positive everyday heroes, there were sometimes muttered phrases such as, "well its not like I can do anything on my own anyhow". "Handicapped or not, the hard part is working in itself." His earnest words speak nothing but truth.
   He says the most important thing to take away this time is 'family bonds'. "The relationship between a family is definetly more than just being brought in the world. I hope this drama in turn makes you think about that 'family', found in everyone. There's a Father's day, a Mother's day, even a children's day, but no 'family day'. Even if only a little, if people can make that kind of family time for themselves after watching this drama, then we've done our job right."
   You can't miss out on this final installment of moving dramas, just packed with Nino's 'feelings'.
